$60 million apartment development to rise next to SunTrust Park

Atlanta real estate company Pollack Shores will develop a $60 million apartment project next to SunTrust Park.
Pollack Shores just purchased a little more than three acres overlooking the Braves’ ballpark and mixed-use development, The Battery Atlanta.
The company bought the site from an affiliate of Pope & Land Enterprises, according to real estate records. A price was not disclosed.
Site work on the new 281-unit development could begin after permits are filed in the next few weeks. Construction financing is provided by Regions Bank.
Pollack Shores has already completed large projects in the area. It partnered with the Braves on developing hundreds of apartments next to The Battery before being part of a deal last year to sell the units for $156 million to multifamily landlord Cortland Partners LLC.
