Marc S. Pollack serves as the Chairman and CEO of Pollack Shores Real Estate Group and is responsible for strategic planning, investor relations, project delivery and supervision of all of the firm’s activities. As the founder of PSREG) he has created a real estate firm that leverages a process orientation with disciplined teamwork, seasoned experience and unique services for the benefit of its investors.

Prior to founding Pollack Shores in 2006, Marc served as President of Lane Investment and Development, where he led a team responsible for completing 86 projects across the Southeast, including the award-winning mixed-use development Atlantic Station and Lindbergh City Center.

Marc holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a master’s degree from Georgia State University. An active leader in the real estate industry, he serves on numerous associations and committees, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the National Association of Realtors, the Atlanta Board of Realtors and the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC). He is and has been a real estate instructor in the Gozuieta School of Business at Emory University for many years.

A “local” Atlantan for 39 years, Marc enjoys spending time with his family- son Andy and his “better half” wife Robin. His other passions are cooking, travel and music. Active in community and cultural affairs, he serves on the advisory board of Mary Hall Freedom House, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for women and is on the board of the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership.

As the President of Pollack Shores Real Estate Group, Steven oversees the firm’s day-to-day business activities while also focusing on strategy, executing the business plan, securing new business, negotiating partnerships, and capitalizing projects. He places a high emphasis on team development and process to ensure Pollack Shores meets the goals of its investors, clients, partners, and employees.

Prior to co-founding Pollack Shores, he was the Manager of the Denver, Colorado development office of Hines Interests where he oversaw the development of commercial office, land and residential projects. In addition, he served as Manager of acquisitions for Hines’ Southwest region and was responsible for acquiring existing office and land assets in Texas, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico for various Hines investment funds. While at Hines, Steven completed more than $400 million in office and land developments and acquisitions. Steven also served on the advisory committee of the $800 million Hines U.S. Office Value Added Fund.

Steven holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the Columbia Business School and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Davidson College. He is a member of the Multifamily Bronze Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Board of Directors of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) and the Real Estate Group of Atlanta. In his spare time, Steven enjoys cycling, golf, skiing and coaching youth sports for his three children.

MICHAEL BLAIR

Managing Director, Development

Michael Blair uses his strong background in construction and design to oversee the successful planning, execution and completion of each project the firm develops. Along with dealing with all aspects of project management and development, Michael combines project execution with team integration, a cornerstone of Pollack Shores and its values.

Before joining the firm in 2006, Michael was a partner and senior development manager for Southeast Capital Partners. Previously, Michael served as senior project manager with The Winter Construction Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Michael enjoys tennis and spending time with his wife, Krissie, and children Ben, Will and Jane Brooks. An Atlanta native, he supports all the local teams and coaches a variety of sports.

BRIAN METZLER

Managing Director of Development Investment and Finance

Brian Metzler manages all front end, financing and disposition activities for Pollack Shores’ development business. Over the last ten years he has led the development and financing of 8,798 multifamily units at a total cost of over $1.4 billion.

Brian was previously Senior Vice President of Finance for Brand Properties, where he completed distressed note acquisitions and managed multifamily development. Prior to joining Brand, he managed $120 million of multifamily development at Lane Company’s Regional office in Orlando.

Brian received his MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his undergraduate degree with honors from Georgia Tech. Brian is a member of NMHC and ULI’s center for leadership. He resides in Atlanta with his wife, Heather, and two sons. He enjoys golf and traveling.

ANTHONY EVERETT

ANTHONY EVERETT

Director of Central Florida

Anthony Everett oversees the firm’s development in Central Florida, where his duties include identifying new opportunities, then pursuing them to create successful outcomes for the firm and its investors. He is an experienced planner and problem-solver who guides projects with an unmatched level of organization and precision.

As President of Everett Realty and Investments, Inc. and Everett Realty Services, Anthony has directed the management and development, acquisition and disposition of approximately 20,000 multifamily residential units. He has extensive experience in both rental and “for sale” properties. He has also served as a Special Consultant to Post Properties.

A graduate of Emory University and the University of Florida, Anthony is a fourth generation resident of Tampa, where he resides with his wife and two children. He sits on several charitable boards including The Tampa General Hospital Foundation and The American Cancer Society. Anthony enjoys hiking, hunting, scuba diving, fishing and boating.

Alex Seals

Managing Director

Alex Seals manages the firm’s acquisition, development, investment and property management in the Southwest. He is responsible for identifying new investment opportunities, negotiating partnerships and working with investment partners on project capitalizations.

Prior to joining Pollack Shores, Alex was Vice President of Investments for Rosewood Property Company, a large family office based in Dallas, Texas. In this role, he was responsible for sourcing and presenting new investment opportunities and managed the underwriting, due diligence and closing teams. Prior to Rosewood, Alex was a member of The Carlyle Group’s US acquisitions team, where he closed over $1.5 billion of opportunistic investments across multiple product types including multifamily, retail, industrial, office, for-sale residential, student housing and senior housing. During his career, Alex has invested in over 8,000 multifamily units ranging from value-add acquisition to ground-up development focused primarily in the Southeastern and Southwestern U.S.

Alex received his MBA with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate from Columbia Business School and his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Virginia. He was a member of the Varsity Football team and two-time George Welsh Award recipient. Alex lives in Dallas with his wife and three children, and enjoys golf, fishing and traveling.

Vice President, Development

Brian Oates is a key member of the firm’s development team and is responsible for multiple development projects. He acts as the point of contact for the firms internal and external partners on each deal and is responsible for the overall development and execution of each project. His responsibilities include obtaining municipal approvals, managing project costs and schedules, construction, as well as delivery and lease-up of completed projects.

Before joining Pollack Shores, Brian led project teams at RaceTrac Petroleum in the acquisition, entitlement and development of new convenience and gas locations in Georgia and Florida. He also has over six years previous experience underwriting and developing residential communities in the Southeast with public developer The Forestar Group and other residential development firms.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a concentration in finance and land development. A member of the Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers, he also is active in neighborhood planning and zoning issues. Brian enjoys following local Atlanta sports teams, playing and coaching soccer and spending time with his son, Samuel.

Vice President, Development

Tyler Gaines joined Pollack Shores development team to lead multiple development projects. He is the point of contact for the firms internal and external partners on each deal and is responsible for the overall development and execution of each project. His responsibilities include overall project design, obtaining municipal approvals, managing project costs and schedules, construction, as well as delivery and lease-up of completed projects.

He was previously the Director of Development for Dewberry Capital where he led development and construction activities for Multifamily, Retail and Office projects across the southeast. Prior to joining Dewberry he was a Partner with Westbridge Partners and was integral in the redevelopment of White Provisions, which received the ULI Development of Excellence Award, as well as other urban infill and adaptive reuse projects.

Tyler holds a Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech. He is actively involved in the community and enjoys spending time with his friends and family, wife Whitney and children Adley and Reed.

Palmer McArthur

Vice President, Development

Palmer joined Pollack Shores in 2014. As the Vice President of Development, his responsibilities include identifying and analyzing development opportunities across the Southeast, raising debt and equity capital, and managing project execution.

Previously, Palmer was an Assistant Vice President at Wells Fargo, where he originated and underwrote CMBS loans in the Real Estate Capital Markets group. He was also a Relationship Manager in the Special Situations Group, where he managed and restructured distressed commercial mortgages.

Palmer earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSBA with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was an active member of the real estate clubs at both institutions and is a member of ULI. Palmer lives in Atlanta with his wife, Brynn, and enjoys golf, hunting, and spending time with friends and family.

Ashley Casaday

Development Manager, Investments & Dispositions

As the Development Manager of Investments & Dispositions for Pollack Shores, Ashley Casaday’s responsibilities include management and execution of front end development activities and project financing. Ashley also acts as the point of contact during the disposition process, working closely with partners, brokers, and consultants to ensure the successful sale of new developments. In her time with Pollack Shores, she has managed the disposition of approximately $700 million in multifamily assets.

Prior to her current role, Ashley worked with Pollack Shores subsidiary, Matrix Residential, to lead efforts in due diligence, reporting, and management of the company’s portfolio. Ashley previously spent time with Winter Construction’s hospitality group, managing the estimating, scheduling, and execution of major projects.

Ashley graduated with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction. She is actively involved in the community and enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and husband, Will.

ANNA LOOMIS

Manager of Interior Architecture & Design

Anna Loomis has been an integral part of the Pollack Shores development team since 2012, and manages the design and construction of new development projects across the Southeast. Her responsibilities include overseeing the architectural design from site planning through construction documents, permitting, construction pricing and buy-out, monitoring construction schedules and budgets, and turnover of completed projects to property management.

Prior to joining Pollack Shores, Anna was a development manager with Southeast Capital Partners. She has completed over 2500 units, developing a wide variety of project types including apartments, condominiums, townhomes and single family homes.

Anna graduated with high honors from Georgia Tech with degrees in Architecture and Construction Management, as well as a Certificate in City Planning with a concentration in Land Development. She enjoys the outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family.

James Winston

James Winston

Construction Manager

James Winston joined the Pollack Shores development team in 2013 to manage new development projects across the Southeast.  His responsibilities include oversight of the design and construction process.

Before joining the firm, he worked with the construction and development of more than $300 million worth of multifamily, retail and educational facilities and managed numerous rehabilitation and renovation projects for companies including Lane Company and Morris J. Kaplan Communities. His experience includes more than two million square feet of residential development and more than 50,000 square feet of retail, office and commercial projects.

He earned his Masters in Real Estate Development from Auburn University and holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Morehouse College. He is a member of ULI and CCIM and is a past board member of the Atlanta Urban League for Young Professionals. James enjoys sports, cycling, traveling and spending time with family.

Bill Moyer

Bill Moyer

Construction Manager

Bill Moyer oversees all aspects of the firm’s new construction management, capital projects and renovations for a variety of multifamily developments across the Southeast. He joined Pollack Shores in 2012.

He previously managed construction projects for leading companies including AMLI Residential, Post Properties, Oxford Properties and Dominion Development. That includes more than 35 years of experience in multifamily real estate, including new construction, redevelopment and renovations, parking deck construction, land development, project management and building inspections.

Before joining Pollack Shores, he owned his own construction management firm. Bill, who lives in Marietta, Georgia, with his wife Jan, enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with family.

Eric Jaegers

Eric Jaegers

Construction Manager

Eric joined Pollack Shores in 2015 as the Construction Manager and is responsible for development delivery of multiple projects across the Southeast. He brings 30 years of development and construction management experience to the company.

Prior to joining Pollack Shores, Eric was with Crescent Communities where he managed the construction efforts of multifamily, retail, institutional, industrial and office developments. Eric also held senior management positions with McDevitt and Street, Choate, and R.J. Griffin, where he served in pre-construction, project management and business development capacities. His experience includes 4,000 multifamily/condo units and several million square feet of commercial and institutional development.

Eric graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Technology. He is LEED Accredited and has managed several LEED-certified and other sustainability program projects. Eric resides in Athens and enjoys spending his free time with family and friends.

Ryan Rogusky

Ryan Rogusky

Construction Manager

Ryan became a part of the development team in February of 2015. He brings nearly 30 years of construction experience building complex and fast track building projects in the Southeast and across the nation. As a team member his responsibilities include working side by side with the Development Manager overseeing project design with a focus on constructability, costs, schedules, construction and general management of GMP contracts from project inception to close-out.

Prior to joining Pollack Shores, Ryan was a Senior Project Manager working for general contractors such as Choate Construction Company, VCC and others. He also has years of field experience as a Superintendent, Project Engineer and Project Safety Director. This combination of both field and office experience brings a high level of insight to properly managing projects from start to finish and heightened problem solving abilities. He’s built a variety of projects including heavy highway, airport construction, high rise, class A office, senior living, healthcare, education, industrial and retail.

His experience also includes leading project teams, BIM, several LEED projects, design build and managing AIA custom contracts. Other than the decades of on-site experience, Ryan attended Bucknell University, Muhlenburg College and Penn State University and studied computer science engineering, civil engineering, math and physics.

Brendan Whalen

Vice President of Acquisitions

Brendan Whalen is responsible for sourcing multifamily acquisition opportunities throughout the Southeast. His responsibilities include selecting, underwriting, and packaging potential acquisitions for presentation to the firm’s investment partners. He works closely with the firm’s partners, lenders, attorneys, and internal accounting and management teams to drive projects from inception to sale.

Brendan was previously an Investment Analyst at Prudential Real Estate Investors, where he was part of a team that oversaw the asset management of over 17,000 multifamily units in 20 cities across the United States for the PRISA fund, the organization’s flagship core fund. He also worked in the development group of Opus South, a national design-build firm, focusing on multifamily and condo projects.

Brendan earned an MBA degree with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Florida; he graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance, where he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Swimming team. He lives in Midtown Atlanta with his fiancé Francesca, where he enjoys swimming, biking, participating in triathlons, golf, fishing and boating.

Madison Hampden

Acquisitions Manager

Madison Hampden is responsible for managing acquisition opportunities of multifamily properties throughout the Southeast. His responsibilities include sourcing and underwriting new acquisition opportunities, performing market research, conducting due diligence, and managing the execution of acquisitions from deal sourcing to close.

Madison previously worked as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche in their Atlanta audit practice. While at Deloitte, Madison provided assurance to clients in the Real Estate, Banking, and Manufacturing industries. Madison’s responsibilities included testing fair market values of real estate investments, level 3 assets, and other material financial statement items.

Madison earned his Master of Accountancy from Vanderbilt University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Political Science and International Business. Madison currently lives in Atlanta where he enjoys basketball, hiking, traveling, concerts, and spending time with friends and family.

Director of Accounting

Karen Prince is the Director of Accounting for Pollack Shores Real Estate Group. Karen is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the acquisition, development and management of the firm’s multifamily properties and corporate entities.

Karen manages the day-to-day accounting and monthly closing and reporting processes for all entities, coordinates the monthly draw process with lenders for both development projects and newly acquired properties. Karen serves as liaison with both external audit and tax professionals in the preparation of GAAP-basis and tax-basis audited financial statements and tax returns for each project to meet the financial and statutory reporting requirements for the various joint venture partners.

Karen graduated with High Honors from The University of Georgia Honors Program with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. A “native” Atlantan, Karen currently resides in Johns Creek with her husband, Greg, and two children, Ryan and Kelsey.

BRUCE SANDERS, CPA

Managing Director and CFO

As Chief Financial Officer for Pollack Shores Real Estate Group, Bruce Sanders is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the firm’s financial management matters, tax strategy and filings.  He oversees the coordination and execution of project structuring, transaction closings and debt placements, as well as the implementation of controls and reporting structure at both the fund and asset levels.

Bruce graduated with a Bachelor’s of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa and is a certified public accountant. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Bruce has been an Atlanta resident since 1997. Bruce enjoys spending his spare time participating in local running and triathlon events. He also enjoys golf, soccer and any other activity that gets him outside.

Jeremy Reynolds

Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis

Jeremy Reynolds is Pollack Shores’ Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. His responsibilities include portfolio analysis, project financing, business analysis, and investor reporting.

Prior to joining Pollack Shores, Jeremy was an Underwriting Analyst for the FHA lending division of Prudential Mortgage Capital Company. It was at Prudential that he assisted in the underwriting and closing of over $250 million in FHA insured loans for both affordable and market-rate multifamily properties. Jeremy’s career in real estate began as a real property appraiser where he supported the appraisals of over 1,000 single-family homes throughout metro Atlanta.

Jeremy graduated with Honors from the University of West Georgia with a BBA in Finance and Management. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Real Estate at Georgia State University. When he isn’t studying, Jeremy enjoys competitive running, cheering on Atlanta sports teams, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, wife Kayde and their dog, Cooper.

ANDREW WITTGEN

ANDREW WITTGEN

Director, Asset Management

Andrew Wittgen, who is responsible for all aspects of asset management operations, oversees asset performance, develops business strategy and leads, and directs due diligence for all transactions. He also launched the firm’s management arm, successfully transitioning its assets from third party to in-house management.

His diverse background includes on-site management, property operations, acquisitions and dispositions management. Andrew joined Pollack Shores in 2010 after serving as Vice President of Property Management at Julian LeCraw & Company and Vice President of Operations in the For Sale Housing Division, specializing in condominium conversions and management.

Andrew is an active member of the Atlanta Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association, from which he earned his CAPS designation. A graduate of Indiana University, he resides in Marietta with his wife and children.

Vice President, Asset Management

Alex Geeslin joined the Pollack Shores acquisitions team in 2013. She manages the acquisitions process from initial underwriting through execution of the business plan post-closing. Her responsibilities include underwriting, due diligence, asset management and asset disposition of the firm’s multifamily acquisitions.

Before joining the firm, she served in various roles as an analyst and asset manager for companies including Southeast Capital Companies and Mesa Capital Partners. Her experience includes overseeing the underwriting, due diligence and project management of single family, multifamily and mixed-use projects across the Southeast.

Alex graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors from The University of Georgia. She resides in Brookhaven with her husband, Trey and their two dogs.

Mike Harty

Construction Manager

Mike Harty oversees all aspects of value-add construction, renovation and capital projects. He joined Pollack Shores in 2013 with over 35 years of experience in construction, design-build and commercial development. 

He previously managed projects for Greystar, The Worthing Companies and Eastern International. He owned his own construction company for 18 years and was involved in $1 billion of multifamily, commercial and industrial projects.

He received his education in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University in Virginia, and is a licensed Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector. Based in Atlanta, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, music, fishing and college football.

Tracy H. Bowers is the Managing Director for Matrix Residential, the property management division for Pollack Shores Real Estate Group. In this role, Tracy is responsible for the overall operations of the management company as well as focusing on strategy and client relations.

Tracy joined Pollack Shores Real Estate Group in 2011 with 25 years experience that includes the oversight and management of 18,000 units, the successful lease-up of over 60 new developments, and the orchestration and implementation of 35 value-add/renovations.  She has extensive experience in the Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, South Florida, Tampa, Jacksonville, Orlando, Ft. Myers, Pensacola, Birmingham, Nashville, Raleigh/Durham and Charlotte markets.

Tracy earned her Bachelors of Business Administration from The University of Georgia and a Masters of Science in Management/Organizational Behavior from Georgia State University. Tracy also earned an Interior Design degree from The Art Institute of Atlanta. She is a Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management and a member of the National Apartment Association, and Atlanta Apartment Association. She serves on the board of the Atlanta Apartment Association and GAIEF (Georgia Apartment Industry Education Foundation). Tracy currently resides in Roswell with her husband, Johnny, and two children, Natalie and Annie.
